TAMPA, FLA. (May 16, 2019) – In late April, Tampa entrepreneur and founder of CBD Dog Health, Angela Ardolino, gazed at the crowd packed into the 7thAnnual Re-tails and Sales Pet Expo. She was there to speak on a panel about safely using CBD for pets, and as she gazed into the eager faces, she knew that this information needed to be made available on a larger scale. With that in mind, Ardolino, along with the organizers of the expo and holistic veterinarians Dr. Bob Goldstein and Dr. Kris Hansen of Earth Animal, will be hosting the CBD 101: What Pet Parents Need to Know webinar on May 30 at 1 p.m. EST.
“CBD is still so new to pet owners and retailers alike,” said Ardolino. “Although the CBD market is expected to hit $22 billion by 2022 (according to the Brightfield Group, cannabis industry analysts), pet retailers and pet owners are often wary of the growing regulations and changes in federal legalization of hemp. Right now, there are so many misperceptions and misconceptions about this life-saving medicine that I am thankful to be able to share my knowledge with people around the globe through this webinar.”
Hosted by pet industry experts and educators Nancy Hassel and Dana Humphrey, the webinar is open to pet parents, animal retailers, veterinarians, medical professionals, and the public. Topics that will be covered in the webinar include: proper dosing of CBD, what CBD can help with, how to use CBD with other holistic treatments including essential oils, and if it is safe to combine CBD with prescription medications.
“My background as a medical cannabis expert combined with the expertise of holistic veterinarians Dr. Goldstein and Dr. Hansen will give attendees of the webinar the chance to fully understand this life-saving medicine,” says Ardolino. “You will be able to ask us questions directly in an informal setting, which I think is really valuable in helping pet parents decide if this is the right treatment for their pets.”
Ardolino, who holds a certification in the therapeutic uses of medical cannabis from the University of Vermont College of Medicine’s inaugural class, frequently hosts CBD Sessions to educate retailers, veterinarians, and the public about safely using CBD and essential oils to heal pets. Ardolino also hosted Canna Conference in Tampa, FL in 2016 to educate doctors, nurses, medical professionals, veterinary staff, and the public about the endocannabinoid system and the many uses of CBD for people and pets. Additionally, Ardolino’s company, CBD Dog Health, frequently participates in outreach events to educate the public about CBD.
“I have used CBD to not only heal my own rheumatoid arthritis and anxiety, but to heal animals on my rescue farm and in my grooming and boarding business,” said Ardolino. “I have seen first-hand the healing power of CBD.”
The cost to attend the webinar is $19.95. Registration is available online at https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_dkItLj72QLynXRsoNgwOtQ. If you are unable to view the webinar live, the recorded session will be available for two weeks following the original air date.
